Easter is Coming!

Hey guys as you know easter is coming and im going to be talking a little bit about what im doing this easter. This year i am just doing it with the family nothing big and because my family owns a hotel we will have to be dealling with customers all day and people wanting a room. Normally for easter because i have a younger sister and she still believes in the easter bunny me and mum and dad hide all the eggs and then the next morning she finds them and then we eat all the chocolate and feel sick the next day. When we lived in melbourne we used to always go camping with all the family and some friends and there would be like 20 kids there and than the day after easter we would go to the snow. The snow was an hour drive away from where we used to go camping it was one of my favourite places. When we went to the snow we used to go tobaganing and have massive snowball fights. There was always something to do at the camp aree, we setup camp and all our tents right next to the river and we would take our bikes and go on the big dirt track out the back of the camp area. We would also go fishing in the river and swimming but one of the best things was when we got a blow up matress and when down the river on it and there were heaps of rapids and stuff it was pretty fun. And thats just abit about my Easters.

Downhill wheels

Hey guys today im going to be talking about good downhill wheels for your longboard.

You have Orangatang In Heats:
  • 80a Orange- Soft and grippy
  • 83a Purple- Harder, Faster and Slidier
  • 86a Yellow- Fast and Slidey
You also have the the Abec 11 BigZigs:
  • 77a Pink- Quicker response
  • 80a Lime- Faster acceleration
  • 83a Lemon- Quieter and smoother
  • 86a Orange- Reflex formula is amazing
And last of all you have the Landyachtz Monster Hawgs:
  • 78a Solid Blue- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
  • 80a White- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
  • 82a Yellow- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
  • 84a Turquoise- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
They are all good wheels for downhill i would buy all of them, but i would have to say that monster hawgs are better than in heats. because i know people that ride them and they say that they dont slip out when sometimes the in heats don when you dont want them to.

Omen Pike

This week im going to be telling you about the new board i am getting called the omen pike. You can buy th omen pike as either a drop through or a top mount, i am going to get the top mount so i have more kicks to free ride. The omen pike is a good looking board it has 2 large kicks which will be good for more tricks it has a sick pattern on the bottom. It is going to cost me $210 just for the deck which some people think is expensive but for a good board its not and other boards cost sometimes twice as much as that. There is also another omen b oard which is called Carbon Matrix which is $365 it looks alot like the omen pike it is only top mount but it also would handle better.

Apex 40

If you want to start learning how to do tricks and just free ride, i think the best board to get is the apex 40. This board is exspensive but it is also one of the best and you get what you paid for. This board has good kicks and it is top mount and drop through. The kicks on this board help for all kinds of tricks weather it be just manualling or kickflips or shovets anything this board can do. Also the deck looks good and is well balanced for example if you try maualling on this it will balance itself out and make it easier to manual, where with other boards you have to hold it and try a bit harder to keep the manual going. Down the bottom is the URL for the Apex 40 video which show you all the things you can do on this board.

Longboard wheels

This week Im going to tell you a little bit about what longboard wheels i would prefer to get and what ones i wouldnt want to get and why. The first ones which are  my favourite and probaly the most common which are orangatang wheels, they have alot of different ones which are: 4president, Fat free, In heat, Durian, Stimulus and my favourites Balut's. The reason i would prefer orangatang wheels is because to me they are more slidy so you can get better slides, they are also smooth and good for just riding on. There are also wheels that arent made for longboards but people put them on longboards which are Z-flex wheels and Penny wheels. They are both made for cruiser boards but people put them on there board sometimes because thats all they have or because they are really slidy and you can get huge slides out of them but they wear down really quickly.

Drift Triking - Longboarding

Hey guys I am going to be bringing in longboarding to my blog, And am going to be telling you abit about the boards, trucks, wheels and bearings you should get. The are some similarities between drift triking and longboarding. Like on a longboard you can slide which is like drifting on a trike, and you are using the same parts of your body to do it and almost the same technique to do the slides. The only difference in the technique is that you are sitting down for a drift trike and standing up for a longboard. The wheels are both slidy but drift trike wheels are made of plastic, where longboard wheels are usually made of urethane.

Drifting in the Rain.

Drift triking in the rain is fun and makes the drifting alot easier. If you want to get your slides to last longer doing it in the rain is a good time to do it. If you want to do tricks besides sliding and drifting try doing 360's. To do a 360 you have to do a normal slide but instead of holding the drift you continue pushing until it spins all the way around. You probably wont get it on your first go, but if you want to get it quicker do it in the rain. It makes it easier to spin around without the wheels gripping to the road.
