HOLIDAYS!

Hey guys this is one of my last blogs, and im just going to be telling you about what im doing these holidays. Im going to be telling you the 10 main things im doing.
1.      Im going to melbourne for the 2 week holidays to see all my family my uncle my aunties’s and my grandparents.
2.      We will be camping alot and im going hunting for Deers, Rabbits, Fox’s on one of my uncles farms that is huge and has rabbits running everywhere.
3.      I will be going with my other uncle to work, he is the boss police officer where he lives.
4.      I will be going longboarding alot trying new things and trying to learn stuff, I want to get alot better over the holidays.
5.      I want to learn how to 180 slide and stand up slide.
6.      I want to start to learn more freestyle skating like ollies kickflips.
7.      Im going to be going to a big longboarding comp at this hill called pinewood.
8.      Im going to go to paintball with my mates for a day, that should be really fun.
9.      I want to go to Noosa hillclimb a big downhill longboarding comp.
10.  I want to learn to surf abit better than i can.
These are my 10 main things hope you have enjoyed all my blogs this year and hope you enjoy the holidays.

Bearings!

Hey guys today im going to be talking about bearings and which ones i think are the best. There are lots of different types of bearings and they are rated by Abec 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and then there are ceramic bearings which cost alot more but are alot better. The ceramic bearings arent made of metal, which means when the get hot and heat up they dont expand or change shape which allows them to spin longer and faster. Ceramic bearings are really expansive they come be worth hundreds so unless your a pro longboarder i recommened you get normal bearings like bones redz which are the most common and are great the spin for ages and are quick. My mate sold me some bearings for $12 from Lost Kiwi Longboards which are abec 9 great speed and are really quiet.

Review Bear Grizzly Trucks.

Hey guys today im going to be doing another review on some more of my favourite trucks Bear grizzly trucks. These are some great trucks they have a different range of trucks. They have: Bear 852’s/840’s which are good the 852’s are my favourite just because it pops the board up better and can handle faster speeds and they are nice and cheap $50. They also have Bear Hybrid Trucks which are another level up from the 852’s the are stronger wont bend as easy and can go fatser, These are $125 which is a good price for what you get. And then they have some of the best trucks out the Precision Grizzlies. These are incredible trucks the can do anything you want them to do but they are also very expesive but if you have the money they are worth it. So if you are interested have a look at these websites below.

Hinterland Longboarding Comp!

Hey guys today I’m going to be telling you about the comp I just went to this weekend. The comp was a longboarding comp of course and was at this sick hill pretty steep called Hinterland drive. At this comp there were some sick prizes up for grabs. There was a 2012 Landyacthz wolf shark for biggest standy and this guy will got it for doing a 22m standy. There was a Vault Atlas For biggest hand stand which was about 35m. There was an Apex 40 for best freestyle trick, there was Original freeride 41 for best freeride run and there was Original freeride 38 for youngest kid to be able to do sick freeride. There were also heaps of wheels, trucks, T-shirts, Gloves, Bearings, T-tools and a lot more for second and third. There were sick tricks pulled off and some sick stacks as well but the day turned out to be pretty good, it was a great comp hope there is another one soon. Here are a few links to videos of the day.
And the best stack of the day:

Another Blog Review.

Hey guys today I’m going to be doing a review on a blog I like called Invalid Designs. This blog has nothing to do with skating it’s just I know the creator of this blog and respect and like the photos and posts he has put in this blog. He has some great posts about Graphics Designs, Telling you how to do graphic designs if you’re a beginner or if you’re a bit better and want to learn cooler but harder things to do. He has a lot of sick photos in his blog some he has made and others he has found. One of my favourite photos that he made is an Abstract YouTube background, where he has taken there logo and added a few extra things with it. If you like graphics designs or want to learn how to do it just visit his blog.

Caliber Trucks 50 review

Hey guys today I’m going to be doing a quick review on the “50” caliber trucks, some of my favourite trucks. First thing this truck is wider than your normal truck like the vandal or Paris it is from 9 160mm hanger or 10 inch 184mm hanger.  So it’s longer and beefier which a lot of people like and the bushing seat is pretty much the same on both sides, doesn’t really change so if you flip the hanger there is no difference. The hanger face is completely flat on both sides. The truck is going to come stocked in blood orange bushings which are ok, they are better than most stocked bushings but I still recommend you swap them for something like venom bushings. The blood orange bushings that come with it are Medium-durometer barrel-cone combo. The 50 degree contained base plate come in 3 different colours Raw finish which is just a heavier silver, no paint. Black out Edition which is just painted black and then my favourite White Gold Edition, The hanger and base plate are painted white and the bolts, speed rings and bushing caps are all gold. These trucks are great for downhill and just carving it up. They are $51 for the raw or $54 for the Black out and White gold. I recommend if you are looking for really good trucks for a good price buy these calibers. Here is there link http://calibertruckco.com/shop/fifty-caliber/

Vault Fibreflex wheels review.

Hey guys today I am going to be reviewing the vault 62mm x 46mm 83A Fibreflex wheels. These wheels come in clear and solid colours. They come in clear orange, purple, green and blue and they also come in solid pink and solid purple. They clear wheels have a white core where the solid wheels have a black core. They clear wheels should have a sugary slide and will leave a lot of thane, Where the solid wheels have an icy and unpredictable slide until you wear them down a bit and get use to them, they have a nice slide. These wheels wear depending on your weight and how long you hold your slides. So if you are a bigger rider and do big standies they will wear down quickly. Than smaller riders if you’re doing quick 180's and small 5m standies these wheels will last you a lot longer and the solid wheels will last you longer than the clear wheels will and the solids don’t thane as much. They are great wheels and probably the best you can get for $28.

It has white and gold caliber trucks 44, 10" with vault wheels, I have bone redz bearings and green nipple bushings. I havent skated on this board much but im planning to go out skating alot more on the weekend and see what this board can actually do.

Easter is Coming!

Hey guys as you know easter is coming and im going to be talking a little bit about what im doing this easter. This year i am just doing it with the family nothing big and because my family owns a hotel we will have to be dealling with customers all day and people wanting a room. Normally for easter because i have a younger sister and she still believes in the easter bunny me and mum and dad hide all the eggs and then the next morning she finds them and then we eat all the chocolate and feel sick the next day. When we lived in melbourne we used to always go camping with all the family and some friends and there would be like 20 kids there and than the day after easter we would go to the snow. The snow was an hour drive away from where we used to go camping it was one of my favourite places. When we went to the snow we used to go tobaganing and have massive snowball fights. There was always something to do at the camp aree, we setup camp and all our tents right next to the river and we would take our bikes and go on the big dirt track out the back of the camp area. We would also go fishing in the river and swimming but one of the best things was when we got a blow up matress and when down the river on it and there were heaps of rapids and stuff it was pretty fun. And thats just abit about my Easters.

Downhill wheels

Hey guys today im going to be talking about good downhill wheels for your longboard.

You have Orangatang In Heats:
  • 80a Orange- Soft and grippy
  • 83a Purple- Harder, Faster and Slidier
  • 86a Yellow- Fast and Slidey
You also have the the Abec 11 BigZigs:
  • 77a Pink- Quicker response
  • 80a Lime- Faster acceleration
  • 83a Lemon- Quieter and smoother
  • 86a Orange- Reflex formula is amazing
And last of all you have the Landyachtz Monster Hawgs:
  • 78a Solid Blue- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
  • 80a White- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
  • 82a Yellow- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
  • 84a Turquoise- Ultimate traction and rediculous top speeds
They are all good wheels for downhill i would buy all of them, but i would have to say that monster hawgs are better than in heats. because i know people that ride them and they say that they dont slip out when sometimes the in heats don when you dont want them to.
